I (Kristofer) am here mainly to teach at Sahel Academy. “teach” is one simple word which involves, at times, complex and extensive work. While TEACHING here at Sahel Academy I am:
Teaching;
- 20th century history – 15 students
- Geography – 13 students
- Government – 17 students
Supervising
- 3 study halls
- 2 Supervision spots for the Computer Lab
Staff Sponsor of the Student Council
Co- leading 11-12th grade boys bible study

I (Charity) am mainly here to support Kristofer and care for our two girls. Some of what I do entails:
- Weekly joining students as we visit one of the local orphanages
- Cleaning cloth Diapers, hanging clothes on a line(no dryer here), hand washing and drying dishes, cooking nearly everything from scratch, dusting-dusting-and oh ya, more dusting.
- Shopping at the Marche and several grocery stores (nothing like the ones in the U.S.).
- Teaching the alphabet, numbers, and manners to Richelle.
- Working on administration aspects of our ministry.
